I am a community activist in Asheville, NC, and serve as President (2nd term) of the Asheville Homeless Network, as a co-founder
of Asheville Radical Mental Health Collective, was appointed to the Community Advisory Board of The Kindness Campaign In Asheville, and have many
other local and online activities. I would like to help others teach about their projects using your own website, or learn how to write their own.
I run two nonprofit corporations in some capacity -- Asheville Homeless Network and Pathways Sanctuary. I also write a variety of articles, including
being a monthly columnist for PaganPages, and "own" 12 Yahoogroups (am Moderator on three others)
and am a member of several other Yahoogroups..
I enjoy writing websites, and feel there is far too much mystique about them; I would like to defuse some of this mystique. Unfortunately, while
HTML4 was a simple solution, more recent solutions (XHTML, CSS, PHP) are trying to take websites out of the hands of the general users of the Internet.
I doubt, however, that HTML4 will ever be totally phased out.
